Project in brief
The project aims to improve our understanding of the risks that coastal communities in the Mediterranean Sea. Using advanced modeling techniques, we will assess the potential impacts of multiple hazards involved in Extreme Coastal Water Levels, such as sea level rise, waves, and storm surges, on coastal infrastructure and ecosystems. The results will inform strategies to reduce risk and increase resilience in coastal regions, crucial for the local communities and decision-makers. The main goal is to enhance our ability to anticipate and mitigate the impacts of multiple hazards on Mediterranean coastal communities, protecting lives and livelihoods in the region.
