Climate Change and Coastal Hazards
Description
This research line aims to investigate the relationship between climate change and coastal hazards, with a focus on understanding the impact of a changing climate on the likelihood and severity of these hazards. This includes studying the physical processes that drive coastal hazards, such as sea level rise and storm events, and the social, economic, and environmental impacts of these hazards on coastal communities. The goal of this research is to improve our understanding of the risks and vulnerabilities associated with climate change and coastal hazards, and to identify strategies for mitigating and adapting to these challenges. This research line will draw on a range of interdisciplinary approaches, including observations and modeling of physical and biological processes, as well as social and economic analyses.
